Like it or not, agree with it or not, America today is the front line in a World War. The situation requires that we constantly exercise vigilance, be always ready to act forcefully, yet retain our balance and remain free from fear. Paladin's motto, 'Semper vigilans, semper paratus!' (Always vigilant, always ready!) recognizes this reality. Never doubt for a moment that you may one day be the difference between life and death for many of your fellow citizens.

To help meet a major need in this war, Paladin offers three Crime Prevention classes. All are in lecture/PowerPoint format and all, except as noted, are appropriate for ages 12 and up.

I. Awareness, Deterrence, and Avoidance©: ADA deals primarily with the mental aspects of situational awareness as well as providing practical crime prevention tools.

A partial list of topics includes:

a. Predator characteristics
b. Physiological responses to 'Super-stress' and how to counter them
c. The victim selection process
d. How to avoid selection
e. How to become de-selected
f. The fundamentals of situational awareness

There is a need to understand and practice basic Situational Awareness, especially if you are armed. Neither personal size, strength, or armament are relevant when you are ignorant of what is going on around you.

Duration: 2 - 3 hours, depending on audience participation.
Rate: Free, as a public service, to civic groups and churches. Private companies contact Paladin at 843.618.1381 or e-mail paladintraining@sc.rr.com to discuss your particular needs and pricing options.

II. Refuse to Be a Victim©: This is a more general crime prevention program.

Topics include:

a. Mental preparedness
b. Home Security
c. Physical Security
d. Automobile Security
e. Travel Security
f. Technological Security
g. Self-defense Training
h. Personal Protection Devices

The course also includes optional modules on workplace security, protecting young children and senior citizens, and domestic violence.

Duration: 4 hours.
Cost: $20 per participant (includes handbook).

III. Calling the Christian Warrior©: This is an ADA© course with scriptural references. It also discusses the moral issues surrounding the issue of personal self-defense. The goal of this course is to equip the Christian with a better understanding of what the scriptures say about self-defense, defense of others, and being a warrior, in both secular and spiritual contexts. This is guaranteed to be the most eye-opening study you've ever attended, and it has never been more needed than today.

Duration: 4 hours.
Cost: Free to church or other interested groups.

A personal note: While I am a Christian, and some of the training above is geared toward meeting the needs of others of my faith, please understand that I am not concerned with the faith of my students. The right to live, and live free from fear, is a basic right of everyone regardless of their faith. We are all God's children and He wishes us to live in freedom, in every sense of the word. He has given me certain talents in the area of enabling others to achieve that. It's my heartfelt desire to honor and obey Him by making this training available to every law abiding citizen, regardless of faith.
